This custom made stoneware spoon rest was hand molded into the shape of a teapot! The glaze used on this piece is custom mixed for firing in a gas kiln at high temperatures with a reduction atmosphere. I finished the glaze in a gloss so it works well as a decorative or functional piece and is lightweight and comfortable to hold.
Stoneware fired at high temperatures are known to be very durable - with proper care, this piece can last for centuries.
This piece can also be used as a teabag rest, soap dish, or jewelry holder!
